Vermont's Labor Professionals

IBEW Local Union 300 supports approximately 1,000 working men and women of Vermont and New England. We represent members within the electrical trade, utilities, municipalities and other related industries.

Apprentice Training

The Vermont Joint Apprentice and Training Committee apprenticeship program develops the most skilled, productive, and efficient electricians and technicians in the USA. 

Vegetation Management

Collaborating with electrical utilities to build and maintain a highly resilient electrical infrastructure to support Vermont residents and companies needs.

Community Involvement

IBEW Local 300 members participate in and fundraise for community events around the state including the DragonBoat Festival, Slam T1D Wiffe Ball Tournament, Green-Up Day, and Ronald McDonald House.

City of Montpelier Passes Responsible Employer Ordinance

Montpelier became the first city in Vermont to pass a Responsible Employer Ordinance requiring that any municipal project in excess of $200,000 follow Vermont State Prevailing Wage law. This ordinance provides decent wages and access to benefits for all employees working on qualified city-funded projects. 

The 62nd Annual Vermont AFL-CIO Convention

Our power is in our labor and our solidarity. The 2019 Vermont AFL-CIO United! Slate includes a 10 point program for union power, and has several IBEW Local 300 members running for positions on the United! Slate - Danielle Bombardier and Tim LaBombard.

Close to 500 protesters greeted former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, who was in town for a Vermont GOP fundraiser May 30th at the Hilton.
